POSITION SUMMARY
Spirit Consulting is seeking an entrepreneurial, highly accountable Chief Operating Officer (COO) to serve as the primary operational leader of the organization. The COO will work directly alongside the Founder & CEO and will be responsible for translating vision into execution throughout the company. This individual will oversee recruiting operations, business systems, financial coordination, contractor management, project execution, technology platforms, performance reporting, process improvement, and organizational accountability.
The ideal candidate is not simply a manager. They are a builder. They enjoy creating order from chaos, establishing systems, developing people, solving problems, and helping organizations scale.This role is ideal for someone who desires significant ownership and influence within a growing executive search and consulting firm.

MISSION OF THE ROLE
The COO exists to create a company that can scale without becoming dependent on the CEO's daily involvement.
This individual will build the systems, accountability, processes, reporting structures, and team necessary to help Spirit Consulting become a nationally recognized executive search and consulting firm.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• Near-native English fluency required, including grammar, business writing, presentation skills, and verbal communication.
• Master’s in Business Administration
• 5+ years of leadership experience in consulting
• Experience managing teams, projects, vendors, or business operations
• Proven success improving systems and processes
• Strong project management capabilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Experience working remotely with distributed teams
• Demonstrated history of ownership and accountability
Preferred
• Executive search experience
• Healthcare industry experience
• Experience scaling $1MM+ consultancies

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Company Leadership
• Serve as the operational leader of Spirit Consulting
• Partner directly with the CEO to execute company strategy

• Ensure organizational priorities are executed consistently

• Lead operational planning and execution

Recruiting Operations
• Oversee all active executive search projects
• Monitor project progress and client deliverables
• Review recruiting workflows and search execution
• Ensure exceptional candidate and client experiences
• Improve recruiting processes and performance standards
• Assist with difficult searches and strategic recruiting initiatives
• Monitor recruiter productivity and performance metrics

Team Leadership & Contractor Management
• Lead offshore recruiting teams and operational staff
• Manage contractors, vendors, consultants, and strategic partners
• Recruit, train, onboard, and develop tea
• Establish performance expectations and accountability measures
• Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching

• Design and implement scalable business processes
• Build operational infrastructure to support growth
• Create and maintain SOPs, workflows, and documentation

Financial Oversight
• Attend monthly financial meetings with CEO to review financial reports, performance metrics, monitor budgets, expenses, and operational spending
• Coordinate with bookkeeping and accounting partners
• Assist with forecasting and planning
• Support invoicing, collections, and cash flow management
• Develop operational dashboards to support decision-making
Note: This role oversees financial operations but is not expected to serve as the company's accountant or bookkeeper.
