CPA / Senior Accountant/Finance Lead/CFO (Transportation & Logistics)


Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced CPA to lead the company’s finance function and support strategic
decision-making. This role will act as a CFO partner to leadership, overseeing financial reporting,
analysis, and risk assessment for fleet growth initiatives.
The ideal candidate has experience in transportation/logistics and can evaluate vehicle profitability, risk
exposure, and owner compensation structures through strong financial and operational analysis.


Key Responsibilities:

Oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Build financial models and provide insights to support business decisions.
Conduct risk assessments for new vehicles being onboarded to determine financial viability and
profitability.
Provide recommendations on vehicle owner compensation based on risk assessment, vehicle
performance, and financial analysis.
Monitor fleet financial performance and recommend improvements.
Partner with leadership on strategy, growth planning, and operational improvements.

Qualifications:
CPA required.
Experience in finance leadership, controllership, FP&A, or CFO-level responsibilities.
Transportation, trucking, logistics, or fleet management experience preferred.
Background in risk assessment, actuarial analysis, underwriting, or data-driven decision modeling
is a plus.
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.

Preferred Tech Stack / Experience:
QuickBooks Online or similar accounting systems
Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or any Fleet management software
Advanced Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets financial modeling
Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools
Payroll and expense management platforms (ADP, Ramp, BILL, etc.)
Data analysis tools (SQL, Python, or similar) preferred but not required
