As a Controller, you'll gain exposure to a variety of business models and have the opportunity to build relationships with some of the top innovators in the US. You’ll be a key member of our team, acting as the “go-to person” for businesses needing support in implementing and executing internal processes. Your responsibilities will include managing the department, overseeing the team, performing monthly accounting tasks and reviews, and addressing challenges as they arise. In this leadership role, you’ll play a crucial part in shaping and overseeing our processes and team, ensuring efficient internal operations and a customer-centric approach that keeps executives well-informed. Specific responsibilities include:
• Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions.
• Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
• Manage client relationships and needs.
• Complete and/or supervise and review close process for various companies monthly.
• Create and analyze financial reports and metrics to communicate company results and aid in vital decision-making processes.
• Implement General Ledger, payroll, and billing systems for newly formed entities.
• Lead recurring financial statement review calls with clients.
• Oversee and manage an internal team of Accounting Managers and Bookkeepers, including implementing and monitoring processes and work products.
• Supervise internal team responsible for account receivable/accounts payable work on various companies.
• Assist in onboarding new staff accountants, assessing needs, and establishing team and work plans per company.
• Assess ongoing accounting operations and systems and offer recommendations for improvement.
• Assist with hiring, training, and developing the accounting team.

Qualifications
• 5+ years of relevant experience (bookkeeping, accounting, financial statements preparation, A/R or A/P, FP&A, etc.)
• Demonstrative knowledge of QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Microsoft Excel, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is a must
• CPA or CMA Certification is a plus
• Familiarity with
• Familiarity with e-commerce, manufacturing, and/or inventory accounting is a plus

• Organized, detail-oriented, communicative, efficient, and tech-savvy
