JOB OVERVIEW

The Impact You Will Have
As a Business Development Representative, you’ll play a critical role in helping identify, qualify, and connect with the right firms and decision-makers in the B2B Specialty Tax Software space. Your research, insights, and cold phone-based outreach will directly fuel our sales team’s pipeline, ensuring that we engage with the right partners at the right time. By keeping our CRM clean, providing tailored intelligence, and supporting outreach efforts, you’ll accelerate our ability to grow relationships and deliver value to the market.
About the Company
A software platform that automates and streamlines Specialty Tax Studies for CPAs, specialty tax firms, and real estate investors. We combine deep engineering expertise with modern technology to deliver audit-defensible results at scale. Our mission is to make specialty tax services more accessible, more profitable, and more efficient for firms of all sizes.

What We Look For
We’re looking for someone who is:
Proactive – anticipating needs before being asked.
Accountable – taking ownership of accuracy, deadlines, and communication.
Curious – always asking “why” and pushing for better results.
Efficient – leveraging tools and automation to eliminate repetition.
Collaborative – working as a true partner to the Senior Account Executive.
A Strong Communicator – 100% fluent, conversational English required.
Tool Proficient – experienced with HubSpot, Apollo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator

Core Responsibilities
Prospect & Firm Research
Validate firm status: identify if firms offer services requiring our software, outsource these services, or are prospects for in-house adoption.
Use multiple sources: firm websites, LinkedIn, press releases, etc.
Capture context relevant to sales (alliances, decision-makers, recent activity).
Keep HubSpot records accurate and updated.

Contact Identification
Target 2–3 key decision-makers per firm (tax partners, real estate leads, technology contacts).
Prioritize quality over quantity — avoid bulk, unqualified entries.

Outreach & Qualification
Conduct live outreach (email/phone/voicemail) and follow-ups from campaigns.
Run light qualification calls to vet interest or fill missing intel.
Draft clean, tailored outbound emails by firm type and role.
Support AEs with follow-up sequences and webinar invites.

Persona-Based Targeting
Tailor messaging for different roles:
CIOs – efficiency, vendor consolidation, compliance.
Tax Partners – profitability, staffing, realization.
Study Practice Teams – operational efficiency, time savings.
Engineers – reducing redundant work, adopting modern tools.

Sales Enablement Partner
Support the Senior AE by aligning contacts and notes with live deals.
Join weekly check-ins with updates and questions.
Understand sales context and pipeline priorities.

Tool Proficiency
Manage bulk imports and structured tags to keep data clean.

Admin & Ops Support
Maintain CRM hygiene.
Assist with follow-ups, scheduling, and webinar logistics.
Support marketing initiatives and alliance outreach.

Benefits
Competitive compensation package
Remote-first flexibility
Training and growth opportunities in SaaS and sales enablement
Exposure to cutting-edge tax automation technology
Collaborative, supportive team culture

Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
We believe diversity fuels innovation. We are committed to building a team that reflects varied backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. We welcome applicants of all identities and encourage an inclusive, respectful, and supportive workplace for everyone.
