About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with Tableau Server, expert-level SQL skills, and a strong ability to translate data into actionable business insights. Experience with software product sales is highly desirable, and a cursory knowledge of Python and other technical skills will be a plus.
This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams to drive data-driven decision-making.
This is a full-time remote position, and the candidate should be comfortable working in either the Pacific Standard Time (PST) or Eastern Standard Time (EST) timezone
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Visualization: Develop and maintain Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud dashboards, ensuring efficient data visualizations and reporting for key stakeholders. Transition and optimize Tableau Cloud as part of the organization's move to modern BI tools.
SQL Expertise: Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets for actionable business insights.
Sales, Marketing, Product & Finance Insights: Collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and finance teams to analyze performance, customer trends, market opportunities, and financial reporting.
Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in business operations and propose data-driven solutions to streamline processes.
Technical Collaboration: Partner with IT and engineering teams to maintain and improve data infrastructure, including ETL processes, database management, and integration with systems like Netsuite.
Ad-Hoc Reporting: Support leadership with custom reporting requests, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery for business decision-making.


Qualifications & Experience
5+ years of experience in a business intelligence, data analytics, or business analyst role
Expert proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
Significant experience with Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud, including dashboard development, performance optimization, administration, and migration to Cloud solutions.
Proven ability to create visually appealing, user-friendly, and insightful dashboards. Candidates must be creative, self-starters, and able to build dashboards with excellent UI design. Solid experience working with financial data, including reporting and analytics with Netsuite.
Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and database structures.
Experience with software product sales analytics (e.g., sales funnels, conversion rates, customer segmentation).
Exposure to cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, and Postgres.
Basic knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for automation and data analysis is a plus.
Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Preferred Skills
Experience with CRM and sales analytics tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS, or Azure).
Exposure to scripting languages (e.g., R, JavaScript) for advanced data processing.
Creative, self-starters and great in UI build
