JOB OVERVIEW

We are a seasoned e-commerce business based in Canada, operating primarily in the U.S. on Amazon and Walmart. We specialize in home, kitchen, arts, and crafts products and have recently expanded into the dietary supplement space. With over seven years in the industry, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products directly to our customers.

We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper & accountant who can hit the ground running. The ideal candidate has prior experience handling accounting for an Amazon private label business or similar e-commerce companies. Familiarity with Amazon’s financial reports, cost structures, and reconciliation processes is highly preferred. While we can provide some training, candidates with direct experience in e-commerce accounting—especially on Amazon—will be given priority.

Position Details:
Job Type: Part-time
Hours: ~15 hours per month (subject to change based on workload)
Location: Remote
Hourly Pay: $7 - $10 USD (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:
1. Reconcile transactions from multiple bank accounts, credit cards, and PayPal in Xero.
2. Maintain accurate financial records using Xero accounting software.
3. Prepare monthly financial reports and statements.
4. Work with Excel and Google Sheets for financial data analysis and reporting.
5. Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth financial operations and resolve discrepancies.
6. Maintain a cost of goods sold (COGS) tracking sheet for each product.
7. Calculate monthly margins for products based on COGS and various Amazon reports.

Requirements:
1. Strong preference for candidates with experience in accounting for an Amazon private label business or e-commerce company.
2. Solid understanding of accounting principles.
3. Proficiency in Xero (mandatory).
4. Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills.
5. Familiarity with Amazon’s financial reporting, transaction structures, and cost tracking is highly preferred.
6. Familiarity with Power BI or Google Data Studio is a plus but not required.
