The New Mummy Company is Canada’s specialist service provider of in-home Newborn care and Postpartum/Prenatal support across Canada.

We are based in Oakville, Canada just outside Toronto where we support new parents with prenatal/baby classes, yoga, baby CPR, breast pump rental and lots more classes specific to new Moms and Dads.

We are looking for some bookkeeping support to clear a backlog from our QuickBooks Online platform, once the backlog is cleared, we would also like to discuss the longer term bookkeeping requirement and how to improve the process.

We will need you to work with us on EST hours so that we can be available to support you in your role. Should this position become a permanent role we will no longer need you to work the full overnight hours to match our time Zone. We will work out a time so that you can work a 4 hour overlap schedule to suit you.

Responsibilities:
• Knowledge of matching payments/transactions within QuickBooks Online
• Experience dealing with credit payments from square/Shopify and other vendors, ability to create bank deposits in QBO to match Credit card payments
• Attention to detail to troubleshoot and do the detective work if the client to transaction match is not obvious.
• Good communication skills to chat to team around legacy transactions
• Ability to complete the repetitive bookkeeping tasks to clear a backlog of transactions.

About you:

- Strong English communication skills are required.
- 2+ Years of (remote) Accounting Assistant experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel.
- Strong data entry skills.
- Ability to work remotely and independently.
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to work night shift to match EST hours.
- Have your own laptop or computer, webcam and reliable WIFI.
- Available Monday to Friday - No weekends required.
