Backend Web Developer (WordPress, PHP & Real Estate Data Specialist)

About the Role:
We are building a custom Real Estate portal in Vancouver (Presale & Resale) to compete with major competitors. We are hiring a 2-person team: a Frontend Specialist (Design/Maps) and YOU (The Backend Architect).


The Mission:
You are the engine room. You will be responsible for the WordPress infrastructure, server configuration, and—most importantly—managing the complex data feeds (MLS/RETS) and custom databases (ACF) that power the site.


Key Responsibilities:
MLS Feed Integration: Install and configure Realtyna WPL Pro to sync thousands of active listings from the REBGV board. Ensure data accuracy and sync schedules.
Custom Database Architecture: Use Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and CPT UI to build a proprietary "Presale Development" database (Fields: Deposit Structure, Floor Plans, Completion Dates, etc.).
API & Data Delivery: Create custom API endpoints (REST API) so the Frontend Developer can fetch data dynamically for the interactive map.
Server Management: Manage our SiteGround Cloud hosting. Handle DNS records, Email setup (cPanel/Outlook), SSL, and caching (Memcached/Redis).
Performance: Optimize database queries. Real estate sites are heavy; you must ensure the search functions load instantly.


Required Tech Stack:
Expert Level: PHP & WordPress Custom Development (Theme & Plugin development).
Expert Level: Database Management (MySQL) & WP REST API.
Strong Experience: ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) Complex Relationships.
Strong Experience: Server Management (cPanel, DNS, Email routing).
Bonus: Experience with RETS, IDX, or VOW real estate feeds (specifically Realtyna).
