Civil Infrastructure & Bridge Design Specialist

Position Overview
We are hiring a BIM modeler specializing in civil infrastructure and bridge design. You will work with PyRevit scripting, Tekla Structures structural design software, and Autodesk Revit to automate our design workflow, generate bridge geometry drawings, and produce detailed construction drawings. You will also use Claude AI to further streamline and automate modeling tasks. Together, we will build and refine a comprehensive library of reusable detail families for bridges and civil infrastructure, including Civil 3D topography, Revit TopoSolids, and Tekla structural models. API integration between these platforms is required. All communication and project meetings will occur via Microsoft Teams at scheduled times in Pacific Daylight Time.
Key Responsibilities
• Model civil infrastructure and bridge structures using both Tekla Structures and Autodesk Revit
• Develop and automate design workflows using PyRevit scripting and Claude AI
• Generate bridge geometry and detailed construction drawings across both platforms
• Build and draw using Civil 3D to draw stream and road profiles and cross sections for contract documents
• Work with Civil 3D topography and Revit TopoSolids for terrain and site modeling
• Build and maintain a reusable library of detail families for civil infrastructure projects
• Integrate APIs between Revit, Civil 3D, Tekla Structures, and other design platforms as possible
• Coordinate drawing production and model management across multiple projects

Required Skills & Experience
• Proficiency in Tekla Structures structural design software (required)
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and PyRevit scripting and Revit TopoSolids
• Revit family creation and library management
• Experience with Civil 3D topography
• API integration experience between design software platforms
• Strong background in civil infrastructure and bridge design
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple drawing sets

Communication & Schedule
All communication and project meetings will be conducted via Microsoft Teams at scheduled times. The project manager is based in Washington State, USA (Pacific Daylight Time / Pacific Standard Time). Candidates must be available for scheduled video meetings during Pacific time zone hours.
