Our backend print file creation is automated using Enfocus Switch and PitStop Server, ensuring a seamless experience from customer order to print production. As we expand our product line, we’re building our in-house technical team to support and evolve this automation and our digital storefront.

Role Overview

We are looking to hire a Remote Developer to take over the development and maintenance of our Enfocus Switch automation flows, and later contribute to the front-end development of new product pages on our Magento 2-based website. You’ll work closely with our external development agency for onboarding and training, then gradually take ownership of our automation infrastructure and help implement a Web2Print solution using platforms like CustomersCanvas or Design’N’Buy.

Responsibilities

Initial Phase (Automation & Print Flow Development):
• Learn and maintain custom automation flows in Enfocus Switch and PitStop Server
• Debug, improve, and expand existing flows for customised print product orders
• Collaborate with our print production team to meet quality and format standards
• Work alongside and be trained by our external development agency

Ongoing & Growth Phase (Magento & Web2Print):
• Develop and update product pages on our Magento 2 website
• Integrate and configure Web2Print plugins (e.g. CustomersCanvas, Design’N’Buy)
• Translate print automation logic into online product configurators
• Ensure mobile-friendly, user-friendly HTML5 front-end development

Required Skills & Experience
• Node.js – experience writing and debugging JavaScript/Node flows
• Debugging – strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) – intermediate knowledge
• Algorithms – ability to create and understand intermediate-level logic
• HTML5 – for responsive website development
• Critical Thinking – ability to work independently and make smart development choices
• Ability to self-manage and communicate effectively in a remote environment

Bonus Skills (Not Required but Nice to Have)
• Experience with Magento 2 or other eCommerce platforms
• Familiarity with Web2Print tools or online product configurators
• Basic understanding of the print production process
• Experience with Enfocus Switch or PitStop Server
• CSS/JavaScript/jQuery for front-end work
