Position Summary
ClosePoint USA is seeking a highly detail-oriented Assistant Settlement Clerk to join our Pre-Closing/Processing Department. This role is critical to the integrity of our title operations and requires exceptional attention to detail, document review skills, and the ability to follow established procedures without shortcuts. Key Responsibilities
• Review executed seller documents in advance of closing for accuracy and completeness, drawing attention to defects in a timely manner so as not to derail closing.
• Populate closing figures into the Closing Disclosure and balance with the mortgage lender’s figures in preparation for closing.
• Obtain payoffs and invoices to be paid at the time of closing and populate amounts into the Closing Disclosure / ALTA Settlement Statement.
• Identify and calculation prorations for taxes, homeowners association dues, utilities, etc and populate amounts into the Closing Disclosure/ ALTA Settlement Statement.
• Maintain accurate records and update systems for all documentation / evidence secured to support the figures on the Closing Disclosure / ALTA Settlement Statement.
Compensation
• $8.00 per hour during the first 90-day probationary period, subject to increase upon demonstrated proficiencies in the role
Schedule Requirements
• 30- 40 hours weekly
• Must be available to work Eastern Standard Time (New York hours)

Qualifications
• College degree required, preferably in:
o Law
o Business Management
o Accounting
• Experienced in review of legal and financial documents, including: deeds, closing disclosures, settlement statements/ HUDs
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently with a high degree of accuracy
• Experience with any of the following platforms:
o Title Desktop / Title Fusion
o Title Express
o Simplifile
o SoftClose
o Qualia
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
• Dedicated work environment, with redundant internet and power supply sources
