JOB OVERVIEW

ARCHITECTURAL & INTERIORS RETOUCHER — PART-TIME TO FULL-TIME

?? IMPORTANT: This is NOT a real estate photography editing role. Please read carefully before applying.

---

ABOUT THE WORK

I'm a professional architectural, interiors, and hospitality photographer based in USA. My clients are primarily nterior designers, builders, architects and hospitality brands. The work is high-end editorial and commercial-focused, no real estate/low-end HDR processing.

I'm looking for a dedicated retoucher to become a long-term part of my workflow and have a strong daily relationship with part-time to potentially full-time handling 80% or more of my retouching workflow, primarily blending multiple flash & ambient layers in Photoshop.

---

WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY BE DOING

You'll receive organized raw files and be responsible for:

• Blending flash and ambient exposures using various brush techniques — NOT HDR merging
• Color balancing across mixed light sources (daylight, tungsten, LED, flash gels etc.)
• Window pulls and luminosity masking
• Basic cleanup (sensor dust, minor distractions)
• Delivering clean, polished final images

I do my own final creative direction — your job is to deliver beautifully blended, publication-ready files that I can refine and output.

---

WHO THIS IS NOT FOR

? Real estate volume editors (HDR batch workflows)
? Photomatix or Lightroom HDR merge specialists
? Anyone whose portfolio is primarily residential real estate listings

---

WHO THIS IS FOR

? You understand the difference between manual blending and HDR merging and care about that difference
? You've worked with architectural, interiors, or hospitality photography specifically
? You understand color theory well enough to balance tungsten/daylight mixed sources
? You take pride in clean, invisible work —the blend should never be detectable
? You want a stable, ongoing relationship with one photographer rather than chasing volume gigs

---

SOFTWARE REQUIRED

• Adobe Photoshop (current versions)
• Adobe Lightroom Classic
• Strong understanding of layer blend modes, masking and selections

---

WORKFLOW & VOLUME

This is a high-volume role. I typically have 7–10 large projects per month with 30–50 images per project. Files are delivered via Dropbox in organized folders with pre-production applied to RAW files. Turnaround expectation is 1 week per project depending.

---

TO APPLY

Please include:
1. 3–5 portfolio examples of architectural or interiors retouching (before/after preferred)
2. A brief description of your flash/ambient blending process — in your own words, not a copied definition
3. Your availability and monthly rate expectation
