Architect / Design Coordinator

Trinity Design & Construct | Blue Mountains & Western Sydney

Trinity Design & Construct is a boutique residential design and construction company specialising in high-end renovations, additions and custom homes throughout the Blue Mountains and Western Sydney region.

We are seeking a highly organised Architect or Experienced Design Coordinator to support our design department, streamline project delivery, and ensure consultant and authority correspondence is managed efficiently.

About the Role

Working closely with our Designer, Lauren Jay, you will be responsible for coordinating projects from design development through approvals and construction documentation.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical architectural work and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

* Update construction and approval drawings for approved client variations
* Coordinate and manage external consultants including:
* Structural Engineers
* BASIX Assessors
* Bushfire Consultants
* Arborists
* Surveyors
* Town Planners
* Flood Consultants
* Monitor and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs)
* Manage correspondence from councils, certifiers and approval authorities
* Maintain project documentation and records
* Prioritise and manage workflow through Buildertrend
* Participate in weekly project review meetings
* Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) using Loom
* Maintain daily project logs and reporting

Essential Skills

* Architectural qualification or equivalent industry experience
* Strong knowledge of residential construction documentation
* Excellent written communication skills
* Strong organisational and project coordination abilities
* Ability to work independently and proactively
* Experience with Australian planning and approval processes
* Understanding of the National Construction Code
* Experience using Sketch up and documentation software
* Experience with Buildertrend

Preferred

* Experience in residential renovations and custom homes
