About the Role
We are hiring an Amazon PPC Growth Lead to own advertising strategy and performance across a portfolio of Amazon brands.
This is not a maintenance role.
We are not looking for someone who simply adjusts bids, checks budgets, and waits for instructions. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of PPC as a growth function inside the business.
If you are used to brand managers specifically telling you which products to raise budgets on and by how much, this is not the role for you.
You will analyze the performance, know the brands inside and out, talk to the clients directly, collaborate with the brand manager on joint strategy, and advise on the strategy necessary to drive the growth.
The right person knows how to analyze performance, identify what matters, create a plan, and communicate clearly with clients. They understand that Amazon advertising is not just about ACoS. It is about revenue, profitability, ranking, product growth, budget allocation, conversion, and total business performance.
You should be the person who sees what is happening before the client asks. You bring ideas. You find problems. You recommend action. You follow through.
Clients should feel confident that you understand their business and are actively leading the advertising strategy forward.
You must be comfortable organizing and presenting data and analysis to the client, explaining your analysis and decision making and talking for a 1 hour PPC meeting 4-5 times per week.
We are building a growth oriented agency with the longer term goal of launching our own products.
What You’ll Own
You will own PPC strategy and performance for assigned Amazon accounts.
That means you will:
Build and manage Amazon PPC strategies that support client growth goals
Analyze performance across campaigns, products, keywords, search terms, budgets, and profitability
Identify opportunities to grow revenue, improve efficiency, reduce waste, and scale what is working
Explain what is happening in the account, why it is happening, and what should happen next
Bring proactive recommendations to clients and internal teams
Create action plans for underperforming areas and follow through until there is a result
Connect PPC performance to broader business drivers like conversion rate, pricing, inventory, reviews, organic rank, margin, and product lifecycle
Communicate strategy clearly so clients trust that their business is being actively managed
Stay current on Amazon Ads changes, new opportunities, testing strategies, and competitive shifts
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role is not measured by whether you “touched” campaigns or adjusted bids.
Success is measured by whether you are helping move the client’s business forward.
You are successful when:
Clients feel confident that PPC is being owned, not maintained
You bring smart recommendations before being asked
You can clearly explain performance, risks, opportunities, and next steps
Accounts become stronger, cleaner, more strategic, and more scalable under your ownership
PPC decisions are tied to business outcomes, not just campaign metrics
You identify problems early and come with solutions
You know when to push for growth, when to protect profitability, and when to challenge the current strategy
Your work creates visible impact on revenue, profitability, efficiency, or client confidence
What We Do Not Want
This role is not a fit for someone who:
Is used to spending most of your time raising and lowering bids
Waits to be told what to do
Runs mostly auto and category campaigns
Reports high level aggregated numbers without diving into the details and explaining what they mean
Thinks ACoS is the only metric that matters
Avoids accountability for business outcomes
Needs someone else to create the strategy
Does the minimum required campaign work and calls it optimization
Uses AI or Automation to do the majority of the work.
We need someone who thinks, owns, communicates, and drives.
Responsibilities
Own Amazon PPC strategy across assigned client accounts
Manage Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Brands Video, and Sponsored Display campaigns
Analyze account performance and identify growth, efficiency, and profitability opportunities
Build campaign structures that support scale, control, and clear decision-making
Manage keyword strategy, search term harvesting, negatives, placements, budgets, and bid strategy
Develop testing plans for new campaigns, products, keywords, placements, creative, and budget strategies
Review performance trends and create clear action plans
Prepare client-facing insights, recommendations, and strategic updates
Partner with account managers and leadership to align PPC strategy with client business goals
Identify when non-PPC issues are impacting performance, including pricing, inventory, reviews, conversion rate, content, or competition
Communicate risks and opportunities early, with recommended next steps
Must be highly competent managing accounts with over $100k/mo advertising budgets.
Goals for This Role
The goal of this role is simple:
Make clients trust that their Amazon advertising is being actively led by someone who understands the business.
You will be expected to:
Drive profitable growth where opportunity exists
Improve inefficient or underperforming accounts
Build client trust through clear strategic communication
Create proactive recommendations that lead to action
Make PPC strategy easier for clients and internal teams to understand
Turn data into decisions
Own outcomes, not just tasks
Requirements
3+ years of hands-on Amazon PPC experience
Must be able to run accounts manually.
Must also be familiar with Pacvue
Strong understanding of Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Brands Video, and Sponsored Display
Deep knowledge of ACoS, TACoS, ROAS, CVR, CPC, CTR, keyword strategy, campaign structure, and profitability
Ability to analyze data and turn it into clear recommendations
Strong communication skills, especially when explaining performance and strategy
Experience managing multiple Amazon accounts or brands
Ability to work independently and take ownership without constant direction
Strong judgment around growth, efficiency, budget allocation, and profitability tradeoffs
Preferred Experience
Experience working in an agency or multi-client environment
Experience with Amazon reporting tools, PPC software, or business intelligence dashboards
Experience presenting strategy directly to clients or senior stakeholders
Understanding of Amazon SEO, product launches, ranking strategy, promotions, and catalog performance
Who Will Thrive Here
You will thrive in this role if you are used to driving a business forward with ad strategies. You are analytical, creative, and accountable.
You like digging into accounts and figuring out what is really going on. You are not satisfied with surface-level reporting. You want to know what is working, what is broken, where the opportunity is, and what should happen next.
You do not need to be micromanaged. You want ownership. You want to be trusted. You want your recommendations to matter.
Most importantly, you understand that great PPC management is not maintenance.
It is leadership.
