About the job:
The Amazon Catalog Specialist is responsible for accurate data entry, flat file uploads, and catalog management on Amazon Seller Central. The role involves ensuring data compliance, tracking uploads, resolving issues, and collaborating with Account Managers to optimize product listings. Regular updates, market research, compliance assurance, and maintaining organized databases are key aspects of this position. The specialist will also prepare reports and perform tasks to support the overall catalog and organizational success.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Gather and accurately enter product data into Amazon's flat file templates.
- Review data to ensure compliance with Amazon's guidelines and formatting requirements.
- Upload approved flat files to Amazon Seller Central, verifying correct formatting and completeness.
- Monitor uploads for successful integration and resolve any discrepancies.
- Track upload status and promptly address any errors or issues.
- Communicate with Amazon support as needed to ensure correct product listing updates.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to organize and structure product catalogs for optimal user experience.
- Regularly update product information to ensure accuracy.
- Liaise with Account Managers to obtain accurate product data and resolve catalog-related issues.
- Maintain detailed records of catalog updates and changes.
- Assist in crafting accurate and engaging product bullets and descriptions.
- Offer recommendations for catalog optimization based on market insights.
- Conduct research on market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to identify new product opportunities.
- Ensure all product listings comply with relevant laws and Amazon policies.
- Develop and maintain organized databases for product catalog information.
- Prepare and present regular reports on the product catalog's status, performance metrics, and areas for improvement.
- Perform other tasks as assigned to support catalog and organizational success.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience with Amazon Catalog management.
- Proficient in Amazon catalogs, databases, systems, and policies.
- Expertise in Amazon flat files and inventory templates.
- Strong multitasking abilities and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in catalog management.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Analytical mindset focused on data accuracy and catalog optimization.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills for catalog-related issues.
- Highly organized, efficiently managing catalog data and documentation.
- Reliable in delivering accurate and timely catalog updates.
- Equipped with a reliable PC/laptop (minimum specifications: i5 processor, 8GB RAM)
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly rate will be determined based on experience.
