About the Role:
This is a hands-on builder role. You will work directly with our leadership team to design and build agentic AI systems that automate real business processes, surface insights, and extend the capability of our team across every function. You are not writing specs — you are shipping code that matters.

The immediate goal is to build out Buildmetric's company-wide agentic infrastructure using OpenClaw and Claude — the workflows, dashboards, and automation systems that will transform how we operate, from estimating and client management through to reporting, SOPs, and internal processes. This is foundational work with real and lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities
- Agentic AI workflows using OpenClaw and the Anthropic Claude API — multi-step agents that research, reason, retrieve, and act autonomously across our business

- Internal dashboards and operational tools built on OpenClaw that surface business-critical data in real time and give our team full visibility

- MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and plugin systems that extend Claude and OpenClaw into our data sources, tools, and third-party platforms

- API integrations connecting our systems with CRMs, accounting software, project management platforms, estimating tools, and more

- Company-wide automation pipelines that eliminate manual, repetitive tasks across estimating, reporting, client management, and internal operations

- SOPs and workflow documentation systems — helping define, codify, and automate our operating procedures as we scale

What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience with OpenClaw — this is our current dashboard platform and the foundation for our agentic build-out
- Solid experience with the Anthropic Claude API, Claude Code, and the Claude Agent SDK
- Genuinely current with the AI landscape — you know what is shipping this week, not just what shipped last year
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript or Python (ideally both) — production-quality code, not just demos or prototypes
- Comfortable building REST APIs, webhooks, and integrating third-party services end to end
- Solid grasp of agentic patterns: tool calling, multi-step reasoning, memory and context management, agent orchestration
- Ability to understand business workflows, processes, and operating systems — you can translate how a business actually works into clean automation logic
- Works independently, self-manages effectively, and communicates clearly in English
