JOB OVERVIEW

After Effects Motion Graphics Editor for YouTube (Kinetic Typography + Fast Turnaround)

The role

We are a video editing company working with a roster of YouTube creators and brands, and we are looking for an After Effects specialist who lives and breathes kinetic typography and retention-style motion graphics. If you can make text snap, fly, bounce, and hit on the beat, and you can do it fast without losing quality, keep reading.

You will work across multiple clients and a range of project types, so range matters. That said, one of our primary clients does high-energy retention-style content, and that work will be the bulk of your day to day. The benchmark below shows exactly what that looks like.

This is the bar (watch before applying)

Watch the first 1 minute and 43 seconds of this video. This is the style of our primary client and the bulk of the work you will be doing. This is the level of editing and motion graphics you need to be able to hit:

** ---------- **

Pay attention to how the text animates onto the screen word by word in sync with the speaker, how key words get scaled up, highlighted, underlined, or boxed for emphasis, how the camera punches in and zooms on important ---------- nts, and how every animation hit is matched with a sound effect. That rhythm and polish is the standard. If you cannot produce work at this level, this role is not the right fit.

What you will be doing

- Editing YouTube videos with heavy motion graphics and animated text
- Building snappy kinetic typography (text floating in, scaling, sliding, word-by-word emphasis)
- Quick zoom-ins, punch-ins, and energetic transitions cut to the audio
- Animated text treatments: underlines, highlights, callouts, lower thirds, on-screen labels
- Mixing typography styles and treatments to match the energy of each ---------- nt
- Layering sound effects and syncing animation hits to the beat

Must-haves

- **Expert-level After Effects.** This is non-negotiable. You should be able to animate text and graphics fluidly without hunting through tutorials.
- **Strong kinetic typography portfolio.** Show us animated text you personally built, not work you assembled from templates.
- **Fast, reliable turnaround.** You ship polished work on tight deadlines and you hit your dates.
- **A sharp eye for timing, pacing, and sound design.** You know why a cut lands and where a sound effect belongs.
- **Range and adaptability.** You can match different client styles and brand guidelines, not just one look. Reference videos and brand kits should be something you follow closely, not override.
- **Premiere Pro familiarity** for the base edit and assembly.
- **Clear written English and good communication.** You ask smart questions and you do not go quiet mid-project.

Nice to have

- Thumbnail design or Photoshop skills
- Experience working with an agency or juggling multiple clients at once
- Experience in a specific niche (tell us what kind of content you have edited)
- Familiarity with fast-paced, retention-style creator editing (think the energy of Hormozi, MrBeast, or Gadzhi style channels)

How we work

For each project we give you the raw footage, a clear direction, reference videos, and the client's brand guidelines. You bring the energy and the polish, and you match the look the client expects. You will move between clients and project types, so being organized and able to switch gears matters. We value speed, consistency, and someone who makes the work better without needing to be micromanaged.

Because we are an editing company with an active client roster, this is steady, ongoing volume, not one-off gigs. Volume is typically at least 2 videos per week and often more. This is a long-term role for someone who wants to become one of our go-to editors as we grow.

## Hours and availability

This role runs on US business hours. We need you online and reachable during the Central Time workday, roughly 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM CST (US Central Time). You do not have to cover the whole window, but you should be able to commit to a consistent block inside it so we can send feedback, answer questions, and turn revisions around same day.

Please note: these hours are an overnight shift in the Philippines (roughly 8 or 9 PM to 7 or 8 AM your time, depending on the season). Only apply if you are comfortable working nights consistently and on time.

Pay

$15 to $25 per hour depending on speed and skill, with room to grow for the right person. We pay well and on time for great work.

How to apply (read carefully, this is how we filter)

1. Start your message with the word **SNAP** so we know you read the whole post.
2. Send your reel or portfolio. Include 2 or 3 timestamps pointing to kinetic typography or animated text you personally created, and tell us exactly what you did on each.
3. In one or two sentences, tell us the fastest you have ever turned around a fully edited, motion-heavy YouTube video and how long that video was.
4. Tell us honestly: can you produce work at the level of the benchmark video above? If you have something in your reel that comes close to that style, point us to it.
5. List the software you use, the hours you can be online in CST (US Central Time), and your weekly availability.

Generic messages with no reel will not be considered. We are hiring one great person, and the right fit will have steady, long-term work with us.
