About the Role

We're building Confused Sports, a family-friendly comedy sports channel featuring original puppet characters who deliver hilarious, intentionally confusing sports commentary.

Our goal is to publish 5 short-form videos per day across platforms like YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Facebook.

We're looking for a dependable, creative editor who can help bring our puppet characters to life.

What You'll Do

For most videos, I will provide:

Finished script
Human-recorded voiceover (no AI voices)
Adobe Character Animator puppet files
Backgrounds and assets when needed

Your responsibilities will include:

Animate the puppets using Adobe Character Animator
Export scenes and assemble the final video
Add simple camera movements (zoom, pan, punch-in, etc.)
Add tasteful sound effects that enhance the comedy
Include basic graphics or visual jokes when appropriate
Keep the pacing engaging and optimized for short-form content
Deliver polished vertical videos ready for publishing

We're aiming for clean, funny, fast-paced videos, not overproduced edits.

Requirements
Experience with Adobe Character Animator (preferred but willing to train the right person)
Experience editing short-form vertical videos
Good sense of humor and comedic timing
Strong attention to detail
Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines
Basic English comprehension
Copyright & Monetization

We want this channel to remain fully monetizable.

Please do not use:

Copyrighted music
Trademarked logos or graphics
TV clips or movie footage
Unlicensed ---------- s or images
Anything that could create copyright or infringement issues

Use royalty-free or original assets whenever possible.

Compensation
Starting pay: $300 USD per month
Long-term, part-time opportunity
Potential for raises and bonuses based on quality, efficiency, reliability, and channel growth

As we build streamlined workflows and reusable assets, the editing process should become faster and more efficient.

Bonus Skills

These are a plus but not required:

Knowledge of sports (NBA, NFL, MLB, soccer, etc.)
Motion graphics
Adobe After Effects
Photoshop or Illustrator
Experience creating viral short-form content
Sample Style
