The Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the financial health and strategic growth. This position is responsible for conducting financial analysis, preparing budgets and forecasts, and providing key insights to
management to inform decision-making. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with
strong financial modeling skills and a passion for data-driven insights.

JOB ACTIVITIES:

1) Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify and investigate deviations from budget.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for management.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insightful commentary on financial performance.

2) Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, including gathering data, preparing budgets, and tracking progress
against budget targets.
- Develop and maintain rolling forecasts to adapt to changing business conditions.
- Analyze and evaluate the impact of potential business decisions on financial performance.

3) Accounting & Reporting, Bookkeeping:
- Lead with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts within QuickBooks Online including all expenses.
- Lead the preparation of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement).
- Complete weekly compensation review of sales invoices for payment to Tech’s
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.

4) Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data from various sources.
- Develop dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators and monitor business performance.
- Identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

5) Special Projects:
- Complete ad-hoc financial analysis projects as needed.
- Assist with the evaluation of potential acquisitions or investments.
- Collaborate with other departments (sales, service, marketing) to ensure marketing efforts align with overall
business goals.
- Manage and keep up to date the licensing, contracts, insurance, and workers comp paperwork needed to
complete jobs
 
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related Business field.
- 2+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, including financial modeling and data analysis.
- Experience with financial modeling and payment software is a plus (QuickBooks Online, Gusto, Excel, etc.).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Home office set up including computer and secure internet connection and dedicated phone
