JOB OVERVIEW

We are a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) seeking a highly skilled Remote IT Support Technician with strong AWS EC2 experience to join our team full-time.

This role combines:

???? Answering live client support calls

???? Managing helpdesk tickets

???? Remote troubleshooting

?? Hands-on AWS EC2 administration (PRIMARY responsibility)

This is a fully remote position based in the Philippines, working US Eastern Time (8 AM – 5 PM New York time / EST-EDT).

We require excellent English communication skills, strong technical depth, and real-world AWS EC2 experience.

???? PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY – AWS EC2 (MOST IMPORTANT)

You must have hands-on experience with:

Deploying new Windows/Linux EC2 instances

Configuring Security Groups, VPCs, subnets

Managing Internet Gateway & NAT Gateway

Properly terminating EC2 instances (including deleting EBS volumes, snapshots, Elastic IPs)

Configuring automated backups (AWS Backup, snapshot policies)

Restoring EC2 servers from snapshots or AMIs

Troubleshooting RDP/SSH connectivity issues

Optimizing AWS costs (rightsizing, cleanup, reserved instances, savings plans)

Phone & Helpdesk Support

Answer incoming client support calls professionally

Respond to support emails promptly

Manage tickets in osTicket

Document troubleshooting steps clearly

Prioritize urgent issues appropriately

Remote Support

Use tools such as:

TeamViewer

AnyDesk

UltraViewer

Microsoft Remote Desktop

Resolve Windows and server issues remotely

Windows & Server Administration

Support Windows 7, 10, 11

Support Windows Server 2008–2025

Active Directory user & group management

DNS troubleshooting

Hyper-V management

Exchange & Microsoft 365

Exchange On-Prem administration

Exchange Online (Microsoft 365) management

Mailbox creation & permission management

Outlook troubleshooting

Networking & VPN

Troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity

Configure Microsoft VPN & OpenVPN

Manage firewall rules & AWS Security Groups

VoIP (Preferred)

Experience with Asterisk / FreePBX

Must-Have Qualifications

3+ years professional IT support experience

Strong AWS EC2 administration experience

Experience answering live support calls

Active Directory & DNS troubleshooting skills

Exchange On-Prem & Exchange Online experience

Proficiency with remote support tools

Fluent English (spoken and written)

Ability to work 8 AM – 5 PM US Eastern Time

Reliable high-speed internet & quiet workspace

Nice to Have

Linux server experience

Firewall experience (SonicWall, Fortinet)

PowerShell or Bash scripting

Previous MSP experience
