Job Description:
We are a digital media production company running a portfolio of automated YouTube channels, and we are looking for a talented Thumbnail Designer to join our team for a long-term role.

Our current project focuses on history, vintage Americana, and nostalgia. The visual style we need is highly specific: 1950s/1960s commercial illustration style with exaggerated, expressive characters. What You Will Do:

Generate base images using advanced AI tools (like Nanobanana 2, gpt 2, Midjourney v6). You must know how to prompt for "1950s magazine ad illustration," "retro pop art," and specifically generate characters with highly exaggerated, shocked, or surprised facial expressions.

Edit and composite these images in Photoshop to ensure clean, vibrant colors that pop on mobile devices.

Design and place bold, heavy-weight, high-contrast text boxes (e.g., thick red/white sans-serif fonts) that are incredibly easy to read at a small size.

Maintain strict brand consistency, including exact placement of channel logos and UI elements across every thumbnail.

Organize layered PSD files so our team can easily adjust text if needed.

Deliver 2-3 thumbnail variations per video for A/B testing.

Requirements:

Expertise in both AI image generation (specifically mastering retro illustration styles) and Adobe Photoshop.

Understanding of YouTube thumbnail psychology—you know how to create a high-contrast focal point that drives Click-Through Rates (CTR).

Excellent typography skills. You know how to make text boxes look professional, not amateurish.

Reliable communication and the ability to follow established channel design guidelines consistently.
