Solomon X is an AI consulting and agent development company serving mid-market businesses in the UAE and South Africa. We build and deploy AI agents that absorb the repetitive, expensive work inside businesses — quoting, operations, customer care, growth, and orchestration — so the people inside those businesses can focus on what only humans can do.
We're looking for a skilled AI developer to join as our core builder. You'll work directly with the founder to design, build, and maintain the tools we sell to clients.
What you'll build:
- AI agents using the Claude API (agentic workflows, tool use, structured outputs, RAG pipelines)
- Automation workflows in n8n connecting APIs, webhooks, databases, and messaging channels (WhatsApp,
- Backend systems on Supabase (Postgres, auth, storage, edge functions)
- Frontend interfaces in Next.js for client dashboards and agent management
- Multi-tenant SaaS architecture — one engine, many clients, configuration-driven (not custom-coded per client)
- Prompt engineering and agent logic for verticals like panel beaters, electrical contractors, professional services
What we expect:
- You can take a brief and ship working code, not just ideas
- You build for reuse — every workflow and agent is a template, not a one-off
- You log everything by default — structured outputs, audit trails, traceable decisions
- You communicate clearly and flag blockers early
- You're comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-moving early-stage build
Tech stack (what you need to know):
- Claude API / Anthropic SDK — non-negotiable
- n8n (self-hosted workflow automation) — non-negotiable
- Supabase (Postgres, auth, storage) — non-negotiable
- Next.js / React — required
- REST APIs, webhooks, JSON — required
- Python or JavaScript/TypeScript — at least one fluently
- WhatsApp Business API (360dialog or Twilio) — a strong plus
- Vector databases / RAG architecture — a strong plus
This role is right for you if:
- You've built AI agents or automation workflows that real users actually use
- You enjoy the problem-solving side of building, not just executing tickets
- You want to grow with a business that's serious about quality, not just speed
- You're reliable, honest, and you do what you say you'll do
This role is not for you if:
- You need heavy hand-holding or detailed specs for everything
- You've only worked with no-code tools and haven't touched real APIs
- You treat every project as a brand new snowflake instead of looking for reusable patterns
Hours: Starting at 20 hours/week, scaling to full-time as the business grows. Flexible hours — results matter more than when you work.
To apply: Send a short note explaining one AI agent or automation workflow you've built, what problem it solved, and what tools you used. No note = no review.
