AI Automation Developer (n8n, APIs, AWS)

Part Time, Long Term, Work From Home

Salary
$600 to $900 USD per month for 20+ hours
Based on experience and skill level

About Our Company
We are an Australian AI automation company called AI Answers.
We build real AI systems for businesses, including:

Workflow automation
AI voice receptionists
CRM and accounting integrations
Central databases for AI agents

You will work directly with the founder and lead developer on long-term client projects.
We are looking for someone who wants stable, full-time work and to grow into a senior AI engineer.

Work Schedule

Part-time, 20 hours per week
Flexible schedule
Must overlap at least 2 to 3 hours with Australian time (AEST)
Must be willing to meet daily for updates and workflow check-ins.

Your Main Tasks:
Automation
Build n8n workflows for email, CRM, and job systems
Create automations using webhooks and APIs
Replace Zapier-style automations with self-hosted n8n

API Integration

Connect systems like:
Gmail / Google Workspace
CRM or job management tools
Xero or accounting platforms

Sync data between systems and a PostgreSQL database
Cloud Support
Deploy and manage n8n on AWS EC2
Help set up PostgreSQL on AWS RDS
Configure backups and environment variables
AI Agent Support
Help connect AI voice agents to workflows
Log agent activity to the database
Test automation flows and fix errors
QA and Documentation
Test workflows end to end
Write clear SOPs and setup guides
Monitor automations and fix failures

Required Skills (Must Have)

Strong n8n experience
Experience working with REST APIs and webhooks
Basic AWS experience, EC2 and environment variables
Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL
Good English written communication
Ability to follow technical instructions

Nice to Have (Not Required)

Experience with OpenAI or Claude APIs
Experience with Xero integrations
Experience with voice platforms like 3CX or Twilio
Experience with Playwright or browser automation
Equipment Requirements
Reliable computer
Stable internet connection
Ability to install development tools

What Success Looks Like in the First 60 Days

Deploy a working n8n instance on AWS
Build at least 5 working automation workflows
Connect at least 2 external systems via API
Deliver tested and documented automations
