AI Automation Specialist / Systems Builder (Remote)

We are an Australian roofing and architectural cladding company looking for a highly capable AI Automation Specialist to help build systems and automations that improve efficiency across our business.

Our company installs roofing and architectural metal cladding on residential and commercial construction projects across Melbourne, Australia.

Your role will be to design and build automation workflows, AI agents, and reporting systems that remove manual work from our team.

You will also assist with marketing and social media automation, helping streamline how we generate and manage content and marketing campaigns.

This is a practical engineering role, not academic AI research. You will build real automation tools used daily by our team.

You will work directly with the business owner to identify processes that can be automated and then design solutions to implement them.

Examples of Projects You May Work On

Examples of the systems we want to build include:

• AI system that reads incoming emails and categorises them
• Automation that processes documents and creates tasks for our team
• AI agents that analyse information and assist staff with decision making
• Workflow automations that connect multiple business systems together
• CRM automation and sales pipeline workflows
• Notification and approval systems through messaging bots
• Automated dashboards and business reporting
• Social media and marketing automation workflows

Your goal will be to continuously improve efficiency by replacing repetitive tasks with automation.

Data & Dashboard Reporting

Part of this role will involve helping us extract and analyse data from our systems.

You will help build automated dashboards and reporting tools by pulling data from our CRM and project management software.

Examples include:

• Extracting key KPIs from ActiveCampaign (our CRM)
• Pulling project data from our project management software
• Building dashboards to track sales, projects, and company performance
• Automating weekly management reports
• Connecting multiple systems to create centralised reporting

Experience with data dashboards or reporting tools will be highly valued.

Examples may include:

• Looker Studio / Google Data Studio
• Power BI
• Tableau
• Custom dashboards built using Python or APIs

Marketing & Social Media Automation

You will also assist with building automation systems for marketing and content management.

Examples include:

• Automating social media posting and scheduling
• AI-assisted content generation
• Marketing automation workflows
• Integrating marketing tools with our CRM
• Tracking marketing performance and leads

Tools & Technologies

Experience with the following tools or similar platforms will be highly valued.

Automation Platforms

• n8n (preferred)
• Zapier, Make or similar automation platforms

AI Tools

• Claude
• GPT / OpenAI or similar AI APIs

Development

• Python
• API integrations
• Automation scripting

Communication & Notifications

• Telegram bot ---------- or similar messaging APIs

CRM & Business Systems

• ActiveCampaign (our CRM)
• Experience building CRM automations and workflows

Project Management

• Asana or similar task automation systems

You do not need experience with every tool, but you must be comfortable learning and integrating new platforms.

Salary

Full-time remote role.

$16 AUD per hour
(Approximately $28,000 AUD per year)
