About The Role
Atlas builds practical AI systems, automations, and internal tools for real business operations.

We work across client problems like support workflows, recruiting pipelines, outbound systems, internal tooling, document and email flows, and custom operational software. We are hiring an AI Automation Engineer to help design, build, and ship these systems.

This is a hands-on role for a strong generalist builder. You might write code, connect APIs, build an automation, debug a workflow, and ship a useful system to a client all in the same week.

We have a lot of work coming in and a lot of opportunities to build. This role is for someone who wants real ownership, real client exposure, and the chance to become exceptionally capable very quickly.

This is a fully remote role.

What You'll Do
Build automations, internal tools, and workflow systems for real operating environments

Use AI where it is genuinely useful: extraction, classification, drafting, routing, research, and human-in-the-loop workflows

Write code, connect APIs, and glue systems together across tools like CRMs, ATSs, spreadsheets, databases, inboxes, and operational platforms

Use tools such as Cursor, Codex, n8n, Clay, and similar products to move quickly

Handle edge cases, exceptions, retries, fallbacks, and the messy parts required to make systems work in production

Prototype quickly, then harden the parts that need to be robust and repeatable

Work directly on client problems across operations, recruiting, support, and go-to-market

Help turn one-off solutions into reusable patterns that make future projects faster

What We're Looking For
Strong problem-solving ability and high ownership

Comfort writing code and learning new tools quickly

Good technical judgment and a bias toward execution

Ability to work independently without constant direction

Clear communication and a practical mindset

Willingness to get your hands dirty and do unglamorous but important work when needed

High standards for quality, reliability, and follow-through

You do not need a traditional software engineering background or years at famous companies. We care more about how quickly you learn, how well you think, and whether you can build useful systems in the real world.

Strong early-career candidates are encouraged to apply, including students and recent graduates.

Helpful Experience
Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript

Workflow automation tools such as n8n, Zapier, Make, or similar

AI tools, LLM workflows, prompt design, or applied automation

Tools like Clay, CRMs, ATSs, support platforms, or spreadsheet-heavy operational workflows

Internal tools, integrations, scraping, enrichment, or process automation

Evidence that you build things, experiment, and learn quickly

Why Atlas
Ship real systems, not just demos

Work across a wide range of problems instead of one narrow lane

Learn fast through real responsibility and ownership

Build tools, workflows, and patterns that compound across projects

Small team, fast iteration, low bureaucracy

Fully remote, flexible hours, high trust, high bar
