Loan Underwriter & Account Manager

Description:

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team as a Loan Underwriter & Account Manager. This role involves reviewing loan applications, assessing risk, and managing customer accounts. You will also handle inbound support calls, assisting borrowers and investors with inquiries related to loans and repayments.



Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyze loan applications, including credit reports, income verification, and financial history.
Assess risk and determine loan eligibility based on goPeer’s underwriting policies.
Monitor borrower accounts and manage communications regarding loan status, payments, and risk mitigation.
Handle inbound support calls, assisting borrowers and investors with inquiries.
Ensure compliance with lending regulations and internal underwriting standards.
Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to process improvements.



Requirements:

Experience in underwriting, lending, or financial services is required.
Strong analytical skills to assess creditworthiness and financial data.
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in customer support, account management, or call handling is an asset.
Ability to work efficiently in a remote environment.
High degree of professionalism and capability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Knowledge of credit risk assessment and financial analysis is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Availability to work 9 AM – 5 PM Eastern Time. This role follows a rotating schedule where workdays include weekends, and two days off are assigned during the week.



Nice to Have:

Good French verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of the Canadian Banking, Lending, or Investment industries.
