I am the former fiscal clerk and unit head of the Finance and Administrative Unit in a government agency. Being the fiscal clerk I am doing the following: 1. Assists in the reconciliation of treasury accounts current and back balances; 2.Determines availability of funds and control expenditures by recording obligations in the journal and analysis of obligations and liquidations in the Request for Obligation of allotment; 3.Reviews report of collection, disbursements, production and issues materials for examination of supporting documents; 4.Balances debit and credit totals; 5.Maintains simple records for control of expenses and fills out standard forms to advise availability of appropriations; 6.Receives, records, processes all creditors claim with supporting documents; 7.Performs other related tasks. Being the Admin. Officer, I was tasked the following: (Accounting/ Finance) 1. Controls fund both regular and special funds and prepares status of funds; 2. Processes financial claims and prepares payroll for salaries; 3. Prepares, processes, and issues checks of reimbursement of travels, and other related expenses; 4. Performs bookkeeping functions/maintains & updates cash balance; 5. Prepares/submits monthly Bank Reconciliation; I take pride in efficiently managing finances and ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of records. Under my watch, we maintained well-organized financial systems and completed reconciliations quickly and effectively.
