Duties and Responsibilities: (Ward)
• Maintains nursing staff job results by coaching and counseling junior staff nurses;
planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Works with junior staff nurses and guides them on a variety of tasks
• Plans, gives and evaluates nursing care
• Carries out doctor’s legal orders
• Assists physician when examining patients
Duties and Responsibilities : ( Emergency Room)
• Works as a part of the team with the Physicians
• Provides first assessment and treatment to medical crisis per physicians order.
• Treats patients emergency situations when they are experiencing trauma or injury.
• Quickly recognizes life threatening conditions and are trained to help solve the
problem on the spot.
• Provide care, monitor health conditions, plan long term care needs.
• Administer and chart emergency medications
• Use medical equipment such as ECG machine and Cardiac Monitor
• Assists physician on minor medical operations such as suturing and I & D
SCHOOL NURSE
Role Purpose: Promotes physical, mental, emotional, ans social health of students.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Contributes to goals of education system and health care system
• Provides screenings and referrals, administers medication and treatments, and
provides first aid.
• Provides health counseling, and education and supporting students to acquired self
management skills.
• Motivates students to improve and maintain there health and prevent diseases
