Staff Accountant CPA

Seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join our growing and dynamic property management team! You will be responsible for a portfolio of clients for all aspects of financial reporting in a fast-paced work environment.

Accountant responsibilities will include preparing and reconciling monthly financial statements, including but not limited to reconciling bank statements and recording monthly accruals and prepaid. You will also be interacting with clients by providing excellent client service.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with financial preparation, bookkeeping and/or auditing.

Responsibilities:

- Complete accrual-based monthly financial statements in a specified timeframe
- Reconcile bank and investment statements
- Prepare monthly income/expense variance analysis with detailed explanations
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivables
- Prepare annual budgets/forecasts
- Record miscellaneous cash receipts (other than homeowner payments)
- Review audited financial statements and post-audit adjustments into the general ledger
- Attend board/finance committee meetings on a needed basis
- Complete specialized assignments

Suggested candidate background/skills:

- Work experience as an accountant.
- CPA highly preferred
- Fund accounting experience is recommended but not required
- Experience and knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including GAAP
- Strong organization and analytical skills
- Be able to complete various tasks within a specified timeframe
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products as well as Adobe Pro
- Exposure servicing real estate entities
