Shopify Web Designer with Coding Skills

Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced Shopify Web Designer who is proficient in both design and coding to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web design with a focus on e-commerce platforms, particularly Shopify. You will be responsible for designing and implementing visually appealing and user-friendly Shopify stores, as well as customizing and enhancing existing themes and features through code modifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop engaging, responsive, and visually compelling Shopify stores that reflect the brand's identity and meet business objectives.
• Customize Shopify themes using HTML, CSS, Liquid, JavaScript, and other relevant web design coding languages to enhance functionality and user experience.
• Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to create cohesive designs that align with promotional strategies and product offerings.
• Ensure website compatibility across different browsers and devices, optimizing for performance and scalability.
• Implement SEO best practices in website design to improve visibility and ranking.
• Conduct website testing and troubleshooting for any design-related issues.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging web design trends, Shopify updates, and e-commerce best practices to suggest and implement improvements.
• Provide technical support and guidance on web design and maintenance issues.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Web Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing Shopify stores.
• Proficiency in Shopify platform, including its themes, customization options, and Shopify's Liquid programming language.
• Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies.
• Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and wireframing tools.
• Understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive design.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and their application in e-commerce.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
