Server Administrator - Linux & Windows

Company Overview:
We are a web development agency specializing in Magento, WordPress, and ERP integration. We manage over 50 AWS and Azure servers, primarily Linux (CentOS and Rocky) and a few Windows servers. Our focus is on providing robust and efficient solutions for our clients, which include managing complex integrations, server support, and troubleshooting.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Server Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our Linux and Windows servers, managing AWS EC2 instances, troubleshooting server issues, and maintaining comprehensive documentation. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our servers, addressing any accessibility issues, and responding to alerts as specified in our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities:

Server Management: Support, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux (CentOS/Rocky/RHEL) and Windows servers. Install and document new servers as required.
AWS & Azure Management: Monitor and manage AWS EC2 instances and Azure resources. Restore sites/files/databases as needed.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve performance issues, bottlenecks, and accessibility problems.
Monitoring & Alerts: Monitor logs, backups, and email buckets for alerts. Respond promptly according to SOPs.
Documentation: Update and maintain accurate documentation, ensuring all processes and procedures are up to date.
Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain security measures for servers, including firewalls, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Basic Application Support: Familiarity with Magento, WordPress, PHP, MySQL, DNS, email deliverability, and firewalls.
Windows Server Management: Experience with Windows Server, IIS, MS SQL, and .NET applications is a plus.
Collaboration Tools: Use Google Sheets, Google Docs, Zoom, Slack, Jira, and Outlook for daily communication and project management.
Qualifications:

Experience: 3+ years of experience in server administration, with a strong focus on Linux (CentOS/Rocky/RHEL) environments.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in managing Linux and Windows servers.
Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, etc.) and Azure.
Familiarity with Magento, WordPress, PHP, MySQL, DNS, and email deliverability.
Knowledge of firewalls, security protocols, and compliance.
Experience with Windows Server, IIS, MS SQL, and .NET applications is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to update and maintain documentation effectively.
Tools & Platforms: Familiarity with Google Sheets, Google Docs, Zoom, Slack, Jira, and Outlook.
Availability: Must be available to work 8 AM - 5 PM Pacific Time Zone.
