Description:
Our company is a prominent Youth Acting School that uses scenes from screenplays and scripts for our classes. We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Scene Editor/Librarian to edit and organize scripts for our scene library. This is a part-time role, requiring approximately 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
•Edit and format scripts and scenes to ensure consistency and readability.
•Organize and add edited materials to our acting studio’s scene library.
•Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail when handling documents.
•Regularly review the library for updates and ensure all materials are properly categorized.
Must Haves
• Proficiency in PDF editing tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat Pro, Foxit PhantomPDF).
• Experience with Google Docs and Drives
• Ability to edit, annotate, merge, split, and convert PDF files.
• Experience with document formatting and editing.
• Strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure high-quality formatting.
• Strong proofreading skills to ensure error-free documents.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate clearly and consistently.
Preferred Traits:
• Reliable and organized, with an ability to work independently.
• Passion for or familiarity with the performing arts is a bonus but not required.
• Familiarity with handling and organizing large collections of documents is a plus.
Examples of editing that our materials will need:
• Cleaning up and removing extraneous markings.
• Adding titles, characters, and character descriptions.
• Watermarking and removing watermarks.
• Text deletion and adding additional text.
