Remote Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Mechanical Design and Development:
o Conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical systems and components that meet customer requirements and project specifications.
o Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software, ensuring all designs are manufacturable and meet industry standards.
o Work on design projects ranging from initial concept through to final production, ensuring quality and functionality.
• Virtual Collaboration:
o Engage with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and clients, through virtual meetings and collaborative tools.
o Provide regular updates on project progress, design challenges, and solutions in remote meetings and through project management platforms.
• Simulation and Analysis:
o Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other simulation techniques to validate design integrity under various loading conditions.
o Optimize designs based on simulation results, ensuring durability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Documentation and Reporting:
o Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
o Ensure all documentation is clear, detailed, and accessible to all relevant teaUpgrade to see actual infombers, regardless of location.
• Risk Management:
o Assess potential risks in design and development stages, proposing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
o Document risk assessments and communicate them to stakeholders through remote channels.


Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating remote project work.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks and experience with FEA tools.
• Remote Work Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects remotely.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to tackle complex design challenges with innovative solutions and a keen attention to detail.
• Tools and Technologies: Familiarity with virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom) and project management platforms (e.g., Jira, Trello).
