Xactimate Estimator

POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a highly capable Mitigation and Restoration Xactimate Estimator to optimize our estimating operations in line with our business objectives.

You will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for mitigation and restoration projects, utilizing Xactimate software. Your tasks will include assessing project requirements, reviewing job scopes, and creating detailed cost estimates to accurately estimate the project costs.

To ensure success as an estimator, you should have extensive experience in construction or restoration estimating and a deep understanding of Xactimate. An accomplished estimator will be someone whose expertise ensures accurate project costing, optimized resource allocation, and supports the realization of our business goals.

KEY JOB TASKS
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for mitigation and restoration projects using Xactimate.
- Review project scopes, floor plans, and other documents to understand the job requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and field staff to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Ensure estimates align with industry standards, company policies, and client requirements.
- Track project costs, materials, and labor to ensure estimates remain accurate and projects stay within budget.
- Assist in job costing, billing, and post-job analysis to improve future project estimating and cost management.
- Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and trends to ensure the accuracy and competitiveness of estimates.
- Conduct regular audits of estimates to ensure they reflect actual costs and project needs.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to clarify project details and cost considerations.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree preferred in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience as an estimator, preferably in the mitigation and restoration industry.
3. Advanced proficiency in Xactimate software and understanding of estimating processes.
4. Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
5. Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
6. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams.
7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
