Job Information:
Development
* Contribute to design and implementation of new and enhanced modules and functionality in our existing OpenCart installation
* Ensure compatibility and integration of developed solutions with existing software across front- and backend, including testing and troubleshooting
* Maintain and support existing OpenCart platform with bug fixes, upgrades and troubleshooting of any issues that may arise to minimise downtime
* Apply performance optimisation and security standards to ensure a great external and internal customer experience, build trust and high SEO standards
* Customise the existing OpenCart platform to support the specific needs of the business to smoothly, efficiently and effectively sell a unique product

Web Developer Skills and Experience Criteria
* Experience in developing e-commerce solutions using OpenCart
* Familiarity with OpenCart extensions, modules and themes
* Experience integrating payment gateways, shipping methods and APIs desirable
* Experience with database management using MySQL or other RDBMS
* Experience in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for front-end customisation
* Experience with version control tools, especially Github
* Experience with module and system testing
* Basic SEO / SEM skills
* Problem-solving attitude with an eye for e-commerce optimisation
* Strong communication skills, capable of liaising with manager and team
* SEO and SEM skills a bonus but should know basics to ensure programming meets standards.
