Research Virtual Assistant (Unclaimed Property Finder Rules Project)

We are hiring multiple Virtual Assistants for a one-time paid research project to help us gather information on U.S. unclaimed property programs and state finder/locator rules.

This is a trial task to identify one long-term research assistant for our team. All selected applicants will complete the same structured project, and the top performer(s) will be hired permanently.


Project Overview:
You will research all 50 U.S. states and collect:

Official unclaimed property website URLs

Direct links to the search portals

State laws and rules for unclaimed property finders/locators

Requirements, restrictions, waiting periods, and fee rules

Links to statutes and any relevant forms

You will enter the information into a structured spreadsheet template.

Requirements:

Strong online research skills

Must use only official government (.gov) sources

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to follow instructions

Clear communication

Reliable and able to meet deadlines

This is a fixed one-time task and will take approximately 5–7 hours. The best-performing VA will be considered for permanent work.
