JOB OVERVIEW

About us
The College of Health and Fitness (TCOHAF) is an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO 30798) delivering nationally recognised qualifications across Fitness, Health, and Business. We've operated continuously since 2002. This is a senior, trust-based remote role working directly with our CEO and Operations Manager.
The role
You'll carry three workstreams across our online delivery:
• Assessment — making valid, reliable, fair assessment judgements on student submissions in Fitness (SIS), Business (BSB), and Health (HLT)
• Course design — building and revising assessment tools, mapping units of competency, and developing Moodle / LMS content
• Compliance administration — maintaining registers, document control, evidence files, and audit-readiness packs
Essential — you will not be considered without these
This is a credentialled Australian VET assessment role. You must hold and be able to evidence:
• Cert IV TAE — TAE40122 (or TAE40116 with TAELLN411 and TAEASS502). Held and current, or in progress.
• Vocational qualifications to at least the level assessed, in the stream(s) you'd assess (Fitness, Health, and/or Business)
• Current industry currency — recent, demonstrable, hands-on engagement relevant to the units you'd assess, which you can map unit-by-unit and maintain annually
If you do not hold a current Cert IV TAE, please do not apply — it cannot be waived.
You'll thrive here if you
• Have marked or assessed Australian VET submissions before
• Know your way around an LMS — Moodle and/or eSkilled / Catapult experience essential; a Moodle Educator Qualification (MEQ), Moodle Academy badges, or the legacy Moodle Course Creator Certificate (MCCC) is a strong plus
• Have hands-on experience with a student management system (SMS) — eSkilled or similar
• Are meticulous with documentation and evidence
• Work independently and communicate clearly across time zones
What we offer
• A senior, long-term remote role with direct access to leadership
• Professional development support — for the right candidate, we'll fund your Moodle Educator Qualification (MEQ) so you can earn a globally recognised Moodle credential while you work with us
• A stable, established RTO with 20+ years of operating history
How to apply
Please send:
1. Your CV
2. A copy of your Cert IV TAE
3. A short note (150 words max) describing your most recent industry currency and which qualification streams you're competent to assess
4. Your expected monthly rate (AUD)
Applications without a TAE attached will not be reviewed.
Shortlisted candidates complete a short paid practical task (marking a sample submission, mapping a unit, reviewing a compliance sample) before interview.
