## Job Title: QuickBooks Cleanup Specialist & Accountant (QBO Certified / BS or MS in Accounting)
### Job Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented, remote **QuickBooks Online (QBO) Cleanup Specialist** based in the Philippines to rescue and reorganize our financial data.
Our books have a backlog starting from **January of this year**. We need an expert financial detective to jump in, reconcile multiple bank and credit card accounts, correct misclassifications, and optimize our Chart of Accounts. This is a temporary contract project with the potential to transition into a long-term, part-time or full-time bookkeeping role based on performance.
### Key Responsibilities
* **Backlog & Catch-Up Bookkeeping:** Bring all financial data from January of this year up to the present day entirely up to date.
* **Account Reconciliation:** Accurately reconcile multiple bank accounts and credit card statements against QuickBooks Online.
* **Chart of Accounts Optimization:** Review, clean up, and restructure our current Chart of Accounts for better clarity and tax readiness.
* **Data Categorization:** Audit past transactions to ensure all expenses, income, and transfers are properly and accurately categorized.
* **Discrepancy Resolution:** Identify, investigate, and resolve any duplicate transactions, missing entries, or un-deposited funds.
### Required Qualifications & Skills
* **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is **strictly required**. A **Master’s Degree in Accounting** is highly preferred.
* **Certification:** Must be a **Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor**.
* **Experience:** Proven track record of successfully handling complex accounting cleanups and catching up on months of messy backlog data.
* **Attention to Detail:** Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to spot errors and discrepancies quickly.
* **Communication:** Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
* **Work Environment:** Reliable high-speed internet connection with a backup power/internet solution (power outages will not disrupt your deadlines).
### Project Details & Compensation
* **Hours:** Flexible, but requires a weekly sync during 8am - 4pm EST business hours.
* **Compensation:** $700-$900/ mo depending on experience and qualifications.
