# Operations Manager

## Overview

We are a fast-growing chess coaching company operating in over 100 primary schools across multiple counties, with plans to expand significantly over the next year.

We are looking for a highly organised, professional and proactive Operations Manager to become a key part of our team and help manage the day-to-day running of the business.

This is a fast-paced role that requires excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving ability and the confidence to handle schools, coaches and operational issues professionally and efficiently.

# Key Responsibilities

* Managing incoming calls and emails from schools, parents and coaches
* Handling school onboarding and ongoing school relationships
* Managing school policies, safeguarding documents and operational paperwork
* Reviewing and handling lettings agreements and related documentation
* Supporting day-to-day operational management across schools
* Coordinating with coaches regarding schedules, cover and operational matters
* Resolving problems quickly and professionally
* Maintaining organised records and internal systems
* Ensuring communication with schools is always professional, friendly and efficient

# Requirements

We are looking for someone who is:

* Absolutely fluent in spoken and written English
* Highly organised and detail-oriented
* Friendly, professional and confident communicating with schools
* A strong problem solver who can think independently
* Resilient and able to work under pressure
* Hard-working and reliable
* Comfortable managing multiple tasks at once
* Able to remain calm in fast-moving situations
* Experienced using email, spreadsheets and online systems
* Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities

# Working Hours

* Monday to Friday
* Available from 08:00am – 4:30pm (UK time)

The ideal candidate will have experience in operations, administration, customer service or school-facing roles and will be comfortable working in a growing business environment where flexibility and initiative are important.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, communication and solving operational problems efficiently.
