Magento Developer

We’re looking for an experienced Magento Developer to join our team and help build, maintain, and improve high-quality Magento 2 eCommerce solutions. This role is ideal for someone comfortable working across both back-end and front-end Magento, with a strong focus on clean, scalable code and best-practice development.

We use the Hyvä theme, so experience with Tailwind CSS and Alpine.js is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain Magento 2 websites and custom modules

- Work across both back-end (PHP, Magento framework) and front-end development

- Build and customise themes using Hyvä, Tailwind CSS, and Alpine.js

- Ensure all development follows Magento coding standards and best practices

- Optimise performance, security, and scalability

- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers

- Debug issues, improve existing functionality, and contribute to technical decisions

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong commercial experience with Magento 2

- Solid understanding of Magento architecture, dependency injection, plugins, observers, and APIs

- Experience developing custom modules and integrations

- Front-end Magento experience (layouts, templates, UI components)

- Strong PHP knowledge

- Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-documented code

Desirable (Nice to Have)

- Experience with Hyvä theme development

- Strong working knowledge of Tailwind CSS

- Experience using Alpine.js

- Experience with performance optimisation and Magento caching strategies

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
