Position Overview
Are you the kind of developer who gets excited building systems that actually work — not just writing tickets in a corporate queue? We are hiring our very first internal Integration & Automation Developer, and this is a rare opportunity to own the entire technical foundation of a growing company from day one.
You will not be one of dozens of developers. You will be THE developer. If you thrive on real ownership, shipping things that matter, and seeing the direct impact of your work on a business you care about — keep reading.
What You Will Own
You will be the core technical anchor of our internal operations: architecting and maintaining our database, building automated workflows in the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate and Power BI), and connecting our internal tools through seamless REST API integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Power Automate - Workflow & System Automation: Design, build, and scale automated Cloud and Desktop flows to connect internal applications, sync business data, trigger smart notifications, and eliminate manual work across the organization.
Power BI - Reporting & Dashboards: Build and maintain powerful, clear dashboards and reports that transform raw business data into real insights for decision-makers. You will own the data story.
API & System Integrations: Build reliable, well-structured connections between our internal systems and third-party cloud tools using REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON — making sure data flows exactly where it needs to go.
Internal App Development: Design and deploy custom internal tools, forms, and data-driven apps using Microsoft Power Apps — built to actually solve the problems our team faces every day.
What We Are Looking For
Microsoft Power Automate: Deep, hands-on experience building complex, reliable Cloud and Desktop flows. You know how to architect flows that don't break, scale well, and connect systems cleanly.
Microsoft Power BI: Proven ability to build dashboards and reports connected to live data sources. You can model data effectively and present it in a way that non-technical stakeholders actually understand.
API & Integration Skills: Strong working knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON data structures, and authentication standards like OAuth and API keys.
Database Experience: Comfortable working with relational databases — querying, maintaining, and building integrations on top of structured data.
Why This Role Is Different
True Ownership: You are not a small cog in a massive machine. You will own the technical landscape, set the direction, and see the direct impact of your work every single day.
100% Remote Work: Work from the comfort of your home with a stable, predictable schedule. Working hours are 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST.
Long-Term Career Growth: As our first internal technical hire, you are not just taking a job — you are building a career with a company that is investing in you for the long haul.
No Bureaucracy: We move fast, communicate directly, and cut through the red tape. Your ideas will be heard and your work will matter.
A Quick Note on How We Work
This role is built on trust, direct collaboration, and long-term partnership. A few things to know before you apply:
Direct Relationships Only: We hire individuals directly. We are not looking to work with agencies, outsourcing firms, or representatives acting on behalf of other developers.
Our Commitment to Focus: This is a full-time, dedicated internal role requiring 100% focus during working hours.
Interactive Technical Screening: We want to see how you think in real-time. Our technical evaluation is a casual, collaborative live video call where you will keep your camera on and walk us through a Power Automate and Power BI scenario.
How to Apply (Required Screening Questions)
To be considered, please answer ALL of the following questions in your cover letter.
Please confirm that you are looking for a single, dedicated full-time role and do not currently hold overlapping corporate full-time contracts.
Are you completely comfortable with a live, camera-on, screen-share technical evaluation where you will walk through a Power Automate and Power BI scenario in real-time?
Describe a Power Automate flow or Power BI report you built that had a direct, measurable impact on a business process. Be specific — what was the problem, what did you build, and what changed?
Please record and submit a short video (2–3 minutes) introducing yourself. Tell us who you are, what draws you to this specific role, and briefly walk us through one integration or automation project you are proud of. Upload it to YouTube (unlisted), Google Drive, or Loom and paste the link here. This helps us get a sense of how you communicate — an important part of this collaborative role.
