Job Responsibilities

? Create high-quality illustrations for in-game assets, character designs, concept art, and promotional materials.
? Collaborate with game designers, art directors, and developers to ensure illustrations align with the overall visual style and game narrative.
? Develop and refine visual concepts from sketches to final polished artwork.
? Adapt artistic styles as needed to fit the game’s aesthetic, including character portraits, environment backgrounds, and UI elements.
? Work with 2D/3D artists to ensure consistency across different game assets.
? Provide art direction and mentorship to junior illustrators and external contractors if needed.
? Optimize artwork for performance across multiple platforms.
? Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into the illustration workflow.

Requirements

? 5+ years of professional illustration experience, preferably in the gaming or entertainment industry.
? Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in character design, environment art, and storytelling through visuals.
? Proficiency in industry-standard tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, etc.).
? Experience with concept art development, including mood boards, color keys, and rough sketches.
? Ability to work in various art styles, from semi-realistic to stylized/cartoon.
? Strong understanding of anatomy, perspective, composition, and color theory.
? Familiarity with UI/UX illustration for game interfaces is a plus.
? Experience with animation, VFX, or 3D modeling workflows is a bonus.
? Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

? Previous experience working on Web3 or blockchain-based games.
? Understanding of gaming pipelines and how illustrations translate into game assets.
